Jayne is a certified New Hampshire Educator with 25+ years of teaching experience. Her professional education includes a BS degree in Physical Education K-12, BS degree in Elementary Education K-8, and an M.Ed degree in Curriculum Design-Arts Integration.
Her role as an educator began in public school as a 1st Grade, Kindergarten, and Readiness teacher. Her passion for early childhood education and integration of the arts moved her into curriculum design work and she recently had the wonderful opportunity to create a Nature-based Preschool Curriculum for a local Environmental Education Center which she soon became the Director and Lead Teacher of.
She is a talented musician, artist, storyteller, and puppeteer – all skills she uses to enhance her own developmentally appropriate lessons created for the youngest learners. Watching Jayne in action is a treat. She is a natural and engages all learners with fun activities that keep them excited about exploring and making connections to the world around them.
Jayne is a knowledgeable professional and skilled communicator. This becomes evident to others when seeking advice from her, reading her school readiness literature, following her lead as a mentor, or learning from her in a professional workshop.
She is a valuable resource to many in the education field. Her years of experience, knowledge of young learners, and passion for early childhood education and child development make it easy for her to connect and support others who are in need of guidance and encouragement in this busy learning world.
I had the absolute pleasure of not only working with Jayne at Fledglings Nature Based Preschool, but she was also my mentor through college. Trust me when I tell you, you could not ask for a better teacher! She has the ability to hold the attention of any child while teaching them all about the world around them.
